Bulk Mailer - The Clear Winner over DeskTop Mailer
TBF Graphics has provided printing services for more than 20 years. In 1999 ago
they added mailing and fulfillment to their list of customer services and needed
a software program that could meet these needs. TBF started with Postalsoft DeskTop
Mailer but quickly changed their minds when they tried Bulk Mailer toward the
end of 2003.
One of the first things they noticed was how Bulk Mailer shortens the steps for
importing and exporting their mailing lists.
"Bulk Mailer offers a lot more formats for importing and exporting," says Seth
Rousseau, a digital support specialist at TBF. "In Desktop Mailer, I had to convert
everything to a database format before I could import it into the program. With
Bulk Mailer we can import Excel files, Access files, DBFs. It saves us a lot of
time."
TBF Graphics, a Saginaw, Michigan-based company, does five to ten mailings per week,
ranging from 200 to 5,000 pieces. Seth says more than 20 regular customers do their
mailings through TBF Graphics, including municipalities, credit unions, restaurants
and advertisers.
In addition to standard bulk mailing services — which include address cleaning and
presorting — TBF Graphics also offers NCOALink®processing through Satori Software’s
Move Update service as a supplementary option. This ensures that the address lists
for TBF Graphics clients are always up-to-date.
"Move Update is fantastic," Seth raves. "We like being able to offer this as an
additional mailing service. I can't see why anybody wouldn't want to use this when
they send out their mailing."
Since switching to Bulk Mailer, Seth says he continues to be amazed by the program's
combination of simplicity and power. He praises the overall appearance of the software
as well as its many functions and features.
"The interface is a lot cleaner than DeskTop Mailer and the program takes care of
a lot of the processes for you," Seth says. "The wizards are nice, there's a wide
range of groups to choose from, and there's a nice template for printing."
"On a whole I like everything about this program," he adds. "It really blows DeskTop
Mailer out of the water."
