MailRoom ToolKit
Seamless Integration and Automation Increase Productivity
Specialist Printing and Direct Mail of San Diego, California is a full-service direct
mail company. In addition to digital and offset printing projects, they do everything
from designing and creating mail pieces, to cleaning addresses, sorting, and posting
direct mail pieces for a large client base.
Specialist Printing has harnessed the power of MailRoom ToolKit Architect to create
a custom interface with Microsoft FoxPro to handle all the mailings they do for
one very large finance company client. They previously used Desktop Mailer and Accuzip
but found that the “point and click” desktop interface was too labor intensive for
the volume of work they had to process. “We were trying to eliminate the need for
additional personnel for just one client,” President Frank Scorzelli commented.
“We want to be able to batch process everything rather than have someone click through
manually” for each job. “MailRoom ToolKit allowed us to triple our volume with no
additional personnel.”
Specialist Printing uses MailRoom ToolKit Architect primarily because of “the ability
to integrate into FoxPro,” but the other integrations have proven quite useful too.
Combined with the ease of use, MailRoom ToolKit Architect is the perfect choice
for Specialist Printing’s needs. Frank says, “MailRoom ToolKit is a very nice package.
Overall, it is flexible and very self-explanatory.”
They process over one million addresses every month using MailRoom ToolKit Architect.
Along with increasing the efficiency of their current workload, MailRoom ToolKit
plays a significant role in economically attracting new business. Frank says, “It's
neat to have the integrations for Excel and Office. We can just quickly process
a list in Excel to give the client an estimate before the actual run.”
With new business opportunities in mind, Frank is looking at integrating MailRoom
ToolKit with their website. Frank noted that, “in the future, Specialist will eventually
put an application on the Web for users to process their own lists.”
MailRoom ToolKit Architect will play a key part of the future of Specialist Printing’s
success in the mailing industry.
“MailRoom ToolKit allowed us to triple our volume with no additional personnel.”
