Q: What is the USPS® Move Update standard?
A: USPS developed the Move Update standard as part of its initiative to reduce
undeliverable mail. The standard requires the use of an approved method to periodically
match a mailer's address records with customer-filed change-of-address orders received
and maintained by USPS, which will reduce the number of mail pieces that require
forwarding or return. One of the approved methods, NCOALink processing,
is built into Satori Software address management products.

Q: What is the NCOALink® product?
A: The NCOALink product is a secure data set that contains customer-filed
change-of-address (COA) orders received and maintained by the USPS. The NCOALink
process is an address updating service provided to mailers through companies licensed
by USPS. There are two levels of NCOALink licensing. Limited Service
Providers can provide updates for moves filed up to 18 months ago. Full Service
Providers can provide updates for moves filed up to 48 months ago. Satori Software
is a Full Service Provider licensee.

Q: How do I sign up for the Satori Software Move Update service?
A: Signing up for Move Update is easy.
- Run the Move Update wizard and select the Create Account option on the screen that
requests your User ID and Password. Your User ID is automatically assigned to you
based on your registration key. You will never need to change it. Leave the Password
field blank and click Next.
- Enter your company's Address, Federal Tax ID and NAICS code. Click the Look Up button
to locate your NAICS code. Click Next to proceed.
- Click either the Review or Print button. You must do one or the other to proceed.
Once you have reviewed the PAF, click Next.
- Select the check box labeled I agree with the terms of the PAF. Once selected, the
Finish button will become active. Click that button to receive your password. You
may begin processing addresses immediately.
USPS requires that you submit a new form every year. As an NCOALink

Satori Software will provide you with your password when this form is received and

Q: The wizard is asking me for a customer type. What does that mean?
A: There are three types of customer accounts, Client, Broker and List Administrator.
Clients process only lists that they own and use for their own mailings. Brokers
process lists for other customers and return the updated list to them. List Administrators
process lists for other customers, but do not return the new list to them. Brokers
and List Administrators must create and register an account for each and every client
and submit a PAF for each client. This is a USPS requirement.

Q: What is an NAICS code?
A: NAICS stands for North American Industry Classification System. It is used
by the federal governments of Canada, the United States and Mexico to track statistical
information about businesses on the North American continent. The codes used are
unique to each industry identified by those governments. Every company has an NAICS
code.

Q: How do I find my NAICS code?
A: The Move Update account wizard has a dialog box where you can search for your
NAICS code. If you’d like to find your company’s NAICS code now, you can use the
census web site located at http://www.census.gov/epcd/www/naics.html. On the left
side of the page you will find the 2007 NAICS Search. Enter a few key words that
identify your business type (not the name of your business) and click the search
button. If you’re having a hard time coming up with your key words, try summarizing
your business in a single sentence.
