Address Management Solutions
Meets USPS® Requirements Early and Without a Price Increase
SEATTLE — March 21, 2007 — Satori Software, Inc. today announced that
its address management solutions, MailRoom ToolKit® and Bulk Mailer®
5, meet new USPS CASS™ certification requirements and will be delivered to
its customers by April 1 — four months early. Formerly available as a $1000
optional add-on module, current and new customers now receive DPV and LACSLink
service at no additional charge.
Starting August 1, 2007, USPS® will require CASS Certified™
software to perform additional address verification, DPV and LACSLink
processing, for volume mailings to remain eligible for postal automation discounts.
DPV verifies that an address exists against a database of over 165 million delivery
point locations. CASS Certified software standardizes each address, matches it with
a ZIP + 4® code, and, ultimately, checks it against the DPV database.
If DPV confirms the primary number of the address, the address is updated with the
correct ZIP + 4 code. Otherwise, only the five-digit ZIP Code™ is applied.
LACSLink processing updates rural-style addresses that have been assigned
a city-style address to facilitate the implementation of a 911 system and existing
city-style addresses that have been renamed and renumbered.
Ensuring that addresses correspond to an actual physical location reduces undeliverable-as-addressed
mail that results from inaccurate addresses. The reduction in processing and delivery
expenses saves USPS money; and helps mailers avoid higher postage costs, wasted
materials, and lost opportunities.
