Move Update: An Easy, Powerful, Money-Saving Solution

CROWNMAX, Inc., a print shop in Dunbar, West Virginia, counts on the Satori Software Move Update add-on to get the most from the Bulk Mailer software. Move Update makes a lot of sense for CROWNMAX, a company that does bulk mailings not only for themselves, but also for numerous clients.

"A lot of customers purchase their mailing lists [from outside sources]," Elaine says. "Whenever you purchase lists you can get an astronomical amount of returns. So you're really taking chances [on whether the mail pieces will reach their destination]."

Bulk Mailer makes this process easy. Once registered for Move Update, customers can run the process from the Bulk Mailer application via the Internet. Move Update first runs Address Correction on the list then transports the information for NCOA^Link processing. Processing takes place in real time, and — depending on the size of the list — Move Update returns a clean, updated list to the customer in minutes.

Elaine pointed out one example of how Move Update significantly benefited one of their clients. Their client was a church foundation group that wanted to send annual report booklets to more than 4,000 recipients.

"It cost them quite a bit just to print 4,000 of these booklets," Elaine explains. "So they wanted to make sure that all of them were delivered to the right addresses. They definitely didn't want to pay more costs than they were already paying."

Elaine ran the list through Move Update which returned more than 70 moves.

"They were amazed by the results," Elaine says. "They weren't aware that so many people had moved. They were really impressed that the software updated all of these addresses."
