Appending the Walk Sequence numbers & Carrier Routes using Data Services
Bulk Mailer now features an integrated Data Services option, allowing easy lookup of Walk Sequence numbers required for Enhanced Carrier Route Walk Sequence Saturation (ECRWSS) and High-Density (ECRHD) rates for both Standard and Periodical mailings. This is accomplished by augmenting the list with the required data from the USPS Delivery Sequence File.
You can append carrier routes & walk sequence numbers to your list after it is imported into Bulk Mailer by performing the following steps:
NOTE: You will need to create a Data Services account first. Consult the Bulk Mailer help file for more information on creating a Data Services account.
- Import your address data into Bulk Mailer.

- Run Address Correction to standardize your addresses for best results.

NOTE: This may result in some records receiving new addresses outside of the intended delivery area and may not be required if addressing pieces to "Jane Doe or Current Resident/Occupant" per DMM 602.3.4.
- Run Data Services to append the Walk Sequence numbers.
DEMO: Using Data Services
- Sign on using your user ID and password that you received when you first created your account.
- On the Append Data screen, select the service(s) you want to purchase, making certain to include Walk Sequence as one of the desired services.

- Complete the wizard as directed.
- After uploading your data, the Hide button will become enabled. You can click Hide to close the progress dialog and work with other mailings until you receive an email notification that the job is completed.
- Processing can take as little as 15 minutes.
