What is EasyTrack?
EasyTrack is a service that creates graphical reports to provide actionable information about the delivery status of a mailing. EasyTrack uses the USPS Confirm/IMb Tracing System functionality to display mailing information in the contexts of maps, charts, and reports.
There are two EasyTrack service levels available to mailers using Bulk Mailer: EasyTrack Snapshot, for a mailing-level summary report, and EasyTrack Complete, for powerful mailing- and piece-level analysis.
When activated for a mailing, the EasyTrack service collects the raw scan data sent from USPS and generates mailing-level and piece-level reports. This allows you to more accurately predict a delivery timeline and expected response from a mailing. Standard Mail® and First-Class Mail® letters flats and cards are supported. Mailing service providers that wish to provide individual clients with access to the EasyTrack service can create client-specific reporting views by using EasyTrack Complete with Bulk Mailer Business.
Applying for the USPS Confirm/IMb Tracing System
EasyTrack collects scans of Intelligent Mail barcodes, which require a USPS-issued Mailer ID. You may either use Satori Software's Mailer ID, or you may contact your Satori Account Representative if you would like to use your own Mailer ID for EasyTrack reporting.
Obtaining the EasyTrack add-in
To obtain the EasyTrack add-in contact your local reseller or contact Satori Sales at 1 -800-553-6477. Your Satori Account Representative can help you select EasyTrack Snapshot (a summary mailing-level report directly accessible from within Bulk Mailer) or EasyTrack Complete (which gives you access to both the Snapshot reports, and to more detailed reporting tools accessible online either through the Bulk Mailer interface or directly via your browser).
Once you have obtained a serial number for EasyTrack, see the Tech Note on Installing Add-Ons Using the Bulk Mailer Add-On Manager for instructions for
installing it in Bulk Mailer.
Mailing setup
To prepare a mailing for use with EasyTrack reporting:
Prepare your mailing as usual, by either opening an existing mailing or creating a new mailing and importing records.
When you are ready to proceed with the Mail Sort Wizard, follow the below steps to enable EasyTrack. When you’ve completed the Mail Sort Wizard, process the remaining mailing information as you usually would, including Address Correction and/or Move Update, and Duplication Search if needed.
Mail Sort Wizard for EasyTrack
- Click Mail Sort on the Navigation Bar.
- Double-click the Mail Sort Wizard and click Next at the Welcome screen.
- If the Mailing type screen appears, select Intelligent Mail. (This screen may not appear if you have previously selected the option to always use Intelligent Mail barcodes.)
Note: Intelligent Mail barcodes are required for EasyTrack.

- On the Sort Class and Piece Type screen, select the desired Class and Mail piece type. Any First-Class Mail® or Standard Mail® letters, flats, and cards can be monitored with EasyTrack. Click Next.
- Continue preparing your mailing by following the Mail Sort Wizard, select the desired options, until you reach the Intelligent Mail Settings screen.
- On the Intelligent Mail Settings Screen, select the checkbox for EasyTrack.

- Optionally, if you are an EasyTrack Complete subscriber and you wish to send additional data files to the EasyTrack server for searching, you may click the Advanced button to open the Advanced EasyTrack Settings window. You may choose any or all of the available additional fields.

- If this is the first time using Data Services, create a data services account using the Create Data Services Wizard.
- Once the account is created you will receive an email sent to the email provided with your data services password.
- Enter the password that Satori Software has provided to you. To save this for future uses of this wizard, select the Save password check box. Click Next.

- Continue stepping through the Mail Sort Wizard and select the desired options.
- If you have enabled EasyTrack Complete, the Job Summary page will display the cost of the job and any remaining balance available after the job. Contact Sales to purchase more credits.

- Click Finish to process the mailing with Tracking enabled.
Viewing your EasyTrack Reports
You may access your EasyTrack reports from the Track tab in the left-hand navigation area of Bulk Mailer.
The Track tab will display two sections, one each for Snapshot and for EasyTrack Complete reports.
EasyTrack Snapshot
Snapshot reports will display directly from within Bulk Mailer; you may View, Print, or Save as PDF by clicking the appropriate button. The report is a one-page summary of information about your mailing (it will not display piece-level detail). The Snapshot report looks like this:

EasyTrack Complete
If you have subscribed to EasyTrack Complete, then you will be able to launch the EasyTrack Complete web reporting application directly from within Bulk Mailer by clicking the Launch button in the EasyTrack Complete section. Using the Launch button will automatically open the EasyTrack web site and will automatically log you in.
If you wish, you may also access the EasyTrack web site by going to the site directly at http://easytrack.satorisoftware.com. If you access the site this way, you will need to log in with the user name and password associated with your EasyTrack account, this time entering them into the web portal login screen.

Once on the EasyTrack site, you may obtain additional help by either accessing the User Guide (available via a link at the upper left of each main screen), or you may access contextual help wherever you see a small blue question-mark icon in the advanced reporting screens.

There are a great many report types at both the mailing level and the piece level with EasyTrack Complete. We recommend reviewing the User Guide for additional insight into different report types and reporting features.
